CalOSHA Aerial Lift Violations

Cal OSHA just cited me for aerial lift safety violations

OSHA inspections and violation notices can be more scary for businesses than IRS audits! But if you have prepared, done your training and have it all documented your company can move through the process with minimal interruption and cost.

As you see here, this person was on a boom lift in Southern California without a prpper harness and tie off. Full body harnersses are

required on all boom lifts and manlift cages for forklifts. Scissor lifts may or may not require a harness depending on manufacturer requirements, company requirements and use of the lift.

When it comes to your forklift license you have many choices, but if you get your forklift certification from Forklift University you know that your license is accepted across the country. Your license is good for 3 years and you can take classes to certify you on a stand up, sit down, electric pallet jack in a single class.
